Day Services offers individuals with developmental disabilities a full part-time person-centered day program which facilitates life skills through the community and center-based activities combined with part-time pre-vocational/work program in contract and other “mini-business” activities.

Rockland Day Services:

Nyack Studio Arts

53 Hudson Avenue, Nyack, NY.
Innovative and specialized community-based arts program that utilizes the arts as the modality for young adults to continue their education, explore the world and learn to become responsible and contributing members of society; “the world is our classroom” says, Associate director, Carol King. The program serves 19-29 year olds.

Jawonio TECH:

New Hempstead, NY

PACE I
Positive Adult Community Experience: a specialized program designed for people with multiple disabilities. The program offers complete support for all ADL needs and  focuses in on community inclusion. Daily activities include computer workshops, budgeting, horticulture, music and pet therapies, volunteer work and academic supports.

PACE II
A unique program for people with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges. Designed to provide a safe and trusting environment where individuals can build day-to-day coping skills as well as new skills in order to become more confident and productive in their home, program and community settings.

Jawonio Advocacy Group(JAG): Award-winning group  focuses and identifies areas for change. Participants also engage in self-advocacy sessions and group participation in Rockland and Westchester Counties.

SENIORS PROGRAM
Ensures an environment of respect, trust and support for older persons ranging in age from 50-90 who are given opportunities in exercising choice, self-determination and independence.

Westchester Day Services:

Day Habilitation

Offers people with developmental disabilities a part-time person centered day program, facilitates skills in the community and at Jawonio, with part-time, pre-vocational/work program in contract and other “mini-business activity”.

Prevocational/Work program

Offers people with developmental disabilities a part-time person-centered day program which facilitates life skills through the community and center-based activities combined with part-time pre-vocational/work program in contract and other “mini-business” activities including the operation of the Yonkers Thrift Shop (opening TBA)

“After the Day” Respite Services:

Strong focus on learning community life learning, developing independence in the community and volunteering. Each session is 8-10 weeks after day services and transportation home is provided.
